What is with the wedding obsession right now? It seems like every new reality competition show has to do with a wedding. I feel like this recent obsession all started with that disgusting show BridalPlasty on E!. A group of brides lived in a house and competed to get plastic surgery procedures. Then the winner would get all the surgeries she wanted and her "dream wedding".

Just the other day I stumbled across Shedding for the Wedding. Not as disgusting as BridalPlasty but the challenge between the two bottom couples is to walk on treadmills and the last couple still walking gets to stay. OVEREXERTION NIGHTMARE!!!!!

Not even 10 minutes ago I just stumbled across Wedding Wars on VH1. The participants of Puppy Bowl are more civilized than these people.

Seriously, if you are getting married and obsessing over it these days you are delusional! One, weddings cost a ridiculous amount of money that could be better spent on necessities like shelter, food, and transportation. Two, there is always going to be someone who will ruin it for you anyways. No matter how much you plan for perfection some douche lord cousin (i.e. me) will get wasted and get everyone else wasted. So your sh*t will be a mess. Third, life is stressful enough why the hell would you want to add another skyscraper of f**kery to it! And of course the last one of all, the one thing that will end all things (literally & figuratively)...................why even bother planning a huge massive wedding when there are major statistics that prove that it won't be your first or your last wedding. I know, I know, not everyone is a "statistic" but when only one kid in your class has parents that are still married it is hard to believe that it won't happen.

But if having a "dream wedding" is your thing then don't let me discourage you. It is your money and your life. I'm simply just saying it isn't my thing. On that note I leave you with the following videos:
